CLASS 76, JUNIOR EXHIBITOR ENGLISH PLEASURE-WILL BE SPLIT INTO AGES 13 AND UNDER AND 14 THRU 17.

CLASS 79-ENGLISH PLEASURE, LADIES, HAS BEEN DESIGNATED AS A PINK RIBBON CLASS.  PLEASE PLAN TO WEAR PINK ON FRIDAY INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE RING TO SUPPORT THE UPHA FOUNDATION AND ITS SUPPORT OF BREAST CANCER RESEARCH.

Every year the Mid-Atlantic Morgan Horse Club hosts the Mid-A Morgan Horse Show in June at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, VA. Over 200 classes are offered covering a wide variety of disciplines. With a 4,000-seat coliseum and stabling for 1,200 horses in eight barns, the Virginia Horse Center boasts breathtaking views and pristine grounds.

There are two large indoor arenas and 12 outdoor show rings on the grounds. For sport horse enthusiasts, there are internationally-rated cross-country and combined carriage driving courses. In between classes, exhibitors and spectators will be able to enjoy the center's gift shop and two museums. There is also a campground and restaurant on the property and seven hotels within a mile of the center.

Mid-Atlantic AMHA Driving Challenge Announced

In celebration of AMHA's 100th year anniversary and in partnership with the American Driving Society, AMHA is pleased to announce the Mid-Atlantic Driving Challenge, sponsored by Driving Essential Inc. 

Four Morgan shows are included in this series: Mason-Dixon, Mid-A, Old Dominion, and the New York Regional. Any exhibitor in a carriage driving class that has at least two entries at any of the participating shows is eligible for the year-end award. Shows will submit placings to AMHA for tabulation. Points are awarded at 1st=7; 2nd=5; 3rd=4; 4th=3, 5th=2; 6th=1. The winner will receive a driving whip, gloves, and bragging rights!

The winner will be announced October 1, 2009.
